Rock actually takes talent. You gotta learn how to play the drums, or the guitar, or the elctric guitar, or the bass. Plus, you gotta do it with unison to your singing, which is though, because you've only got one brain, and your mind tends to focus more on one thing than the other.

Rap is some shit with muscular black men insulting you, and riding their ugly cars while whores dance in the background.

There is no difference between making your rap flow with the beat, than having singing flow with instuments.

And the Roots are better at instuments than bands like Yellowcard.

It is not easy to have good production, good lyrical content and good flow in a song, and many nail it.

Im more talking about guys like 50cent and Usher/Nelly or whoever the hell it is. They scream in your face with their tough voices, and when they're song gets boring, they flash an ab and the song is instantly a best seller.

Well if you compare most mainstream rock to most mainstream rap...id say they're equal in their shittiness.

I can agree with that. Why is it indie bands that have the musical talent, and not the charming good looks or the most piercings or the biggest muscles?

ok, yeah, rock vs. rap, what kind of rock?... what kind of rap?... i don't think you can argue genres in this way, each have their highs and lows... both can suck or be awesome.... i like rock, but not all rock... and i like rap, but not all rap... and by rap i mean hip-hop...

My thoughts exactly. I was actually going to quote duffy and say something mean, but I'll lay off of the "let's put duffy down" stuff.

I have respect for all types of music. That's how everyone should look at music . It has different aspects that require different skills that you can't just do right away.

Both are equal as a music analyst. But if you asked for my personal opinion, I enjoy rock over rap.

I agree completely...

Personally, though, I like rock over rap.

Rofl, I'm still going with my opinion.

You think these 50cent lyrics truthfully took any thought to make up?

Yo, you know what I want? I want the beat to drop right..now
niggas be thinkin' I'm crazy right?
you are crazy..
I ain't crazy...
you are crazy....
atleast I don't think I'm crazy
I think my shit is hot, I think I'm hot
you hot but you crazy..
why they wanna?..man..I don't know...
