seeing as most of you have never driven a cavalier before, let alone one of the gt 500's. rolleyes: . I was reading a mod article in hCi, with as little as 3.5k they modified a cav to do 265hp. http://www.jbody.org sleeping:[/quote:48e00]
A stock Gt mustang has 300, and with just about as much tuning can go to 350 no problem.

yes it is, and iam paying to much for it and unfortunatly iam stuck with it, can't trade it in for anything else because iam like 4k upside down on it
I owe 10k when the car is worth 6900, so to do an even trade i need 4k in pocket
but it's the cards i was dealt, i needed a car and got one, now iam paying for it dearly....so iam going to make the most of it
already got a clarion deck in it, going to put a Kicker 300.2 amp in it soon, with 2 12 Cerwin vegas
it's not a bad car, and get's O.k. gas mileage but not worth the 300 notes iam paying for it lol

I am not ocmparing the 2, im just saying form y doller range, it is what I like, I have gone around test drivng everything, celica's, (an older 93 supra), SHO, Si civic, 95 tdi jetta, old 92 5.0 mustang (insurance + gas = no way), sunfires, corrolas, suzuki esteem, sx 2.0, grand am gtp, protege 5, accord, I have been going threw with so many to find which car suits me best price wise and performance wise, maybe for my next car when i have a job after my post secondary education ill think about a nice bmw, a audi, a new mustang, or even a impreza, but for now, What i found will suit me best and my tastes was another cavalier. Anyone who doesn't even have their license, or just drives their moms car around should really be keeping their mouths shut about most cars out their.

The car would fall apart before it hit 4500 rpms. Why would you ever mod a cavalier? They are almost as bad as a kia.
No offense to Zone biggrin:

anything pre 2000 is pretty much garbage,(in any type of performance aspect) after that heavy engine modifications were made... AKA the 2.2 and 2.4 ecotec inspired engines. Designed in europe. It is a modern high reving engine. They hold up great and work miracles for your information hollywood.. and the whole it won't make it to 4500 rpm was a lame comment. I am not putting it in the same class as that mustang, but they are good cars.

and this

cionsidering the cobalt uses almost the exact same engine.(smilar mods can be done to the z24 as well)

While i would drive a Cavalier if i HAD to, i definately would keep it low keyed. No way would i mod it to a level that would attract ANYONES attention.
Ok, back on the GT-500, i went to the dealer today and sat down with the Vice President of the dealership (A guy i know for the past 18 yrs). Seems this car may be nearly impossible to get since Ford only plans on making 5000 cars nationwide. This particular dealership is getting only 3 cars and the owner is taking one. That leaves two and there is at least 6 people ahead of me on the list but...........since i inquired about it in early December, and i purchased alot of cars with them, he placed me 1st on the list. He wants me to call him on Wednesday for more info.
The world is my urinal

Damn straight. It's reliable, gets me from Point A to Point B, and it was fairly inexpensive. Do I like the car? Ummm...no.

Only 5000? That sucks. Not like I'd be able to get one anyway. I'm still paying for my '02 and I don't make the money that you (Arkan) probably do. I need a new job goddamnit!! wallbash:
