Thanks for the opinions guys. I'm gonna wait out the '07 Shelby plans and see how it goes. If it gets derailed, then make room for the Daytona !!

What do you plan on doing with your car? Driving it to work everyday? Sunday cruise car? Bringing it to shows? Bringing it to the track? biggrin:. Each one will have its pro's and con's to each. The mustang will most likely handle better and be more accommodating to daily driving with such goodies as comfortable seats, A/C, and a smoother ride where as the other one will most likely just suit one main purpose and that is to go fast. I'm not very well educated in either car so i'm just guessing on most of the above information.

No, definately not a daily driver. Neither car will be driven for a long period of time....just jaunts to the local car show and/or ice cream parlor.

I thought a cobra would have the A/C stripped and have only base features to reduce wright, ? Such needless weight on a peice so grand is a shame. The mid 90's cobra R's were completely stripped of all such things...BUT I guess the shelby will be a mix of performance, styling and all.

With close to 500 HP under the hood? Yeah, i want my A/C on when i'm not racing. Car will be close to 3600 lbs but will still do the 1/4 in the low 12's.

Many european super cars come with A/C, ABS and many other luxerys. TVR being the exception where you just a fvery fancy car but no ABS, no Airbags, No traction control.

Im sorry ABS isnt a "luxery" feature you can exclude from a 150,000 car, let alone an airbag. Traction control i can understand but general safty shit is inexcusable.

Damn Arkan you must be a rich mofo! A Shelby GT-500 just as a toy? ed: I only wish I could afford one. All I can do is modify my current 2002...it's looking pretty good, not nearly as good as what you're going to get. You're the man! beer:

Ark my lovely muscle bound pheromone factory, I recommend the 65' coup thing. Not only is it a hot, sexy ride for a hot, sexy man, building it will help you build character or watver, get you away from the kids for longer, and gives your wife an opportunity to see you all hot and sweaty and dirty at the end of the day. biggrin:

Yeah, saw it but thanks. There are a few "mule" cars around the country that they're testing. The yellow car pictured has a few changes from the red one shown at the NY show back in March. We won't know what we're getting until the January show in Detroit. What they show there is what we'll be getting.
