actually, these don't hurt at all trust me. They even come with 3 different sized rubber head pieces so it can fit everyone's ear. My ears canals are very tiny and the small size fits perfect for me. My dad has HUGE holes and the large work well for him (Yeah, he has his own pair as well).

Why don't you buy it from best buy or something and take it back if you're not satisfied? Don't you get an employee's discount?
