I'm down to four cars. After doing some research I found the Grand Prix is actually a reliable car. However, it's not the cheapest. For the Stratus, I found there are more problems with it than the Grand Prix and the car being sold needs minor body work [I'm still looking into it]. The Altima is good because it's newer, reliable, good MPG, and safe. The Accord is just the same but older and just little less safe. eek:
I'm wondering if the older the car, the more difficult and costly it is going to be to make any repairs. oOo:

just take the Saturn. Even if the thing blows up it won't cost 5k to rebuild it so your still in the +. then save up for a nice car not and old used one.

Then you should save up some money for a better first car...or just be ready to make a lot of repairs.

I looked at the Saturn I got. I will get it tomorrow. I will have it for a few months until I get MY own car. It's actually pretty nice, it's a 2003 LS300, I think. Leather interior, moonroof, CD, etc. Under 20K miles. This will be just fine. For some reason they have Utah plates though.
At first, I thought this was going to be an older, shittier, used Saturn. eek:

My first car was a 96 z22 Cavalier. EXTREMELY fun little car. Chepa and was completely solid, not a single mechanical problem. I sold it in year and upgraded to a z24,
HONESTLY. v6 banger sedans (automatics) almost always suffer some form or another of tranny failure. If I were you, buy a decent saturn or a Impala. My best advie is to test drive them all, feel for the best one and go for it. MAY I also suggest any Buick with a 3800 S/C engine.
