No matter what any of you say, the M16A2/ A4 is a great rifle. It was made for professional soldiers who take care of their equipment, IE clean and lubricate. I have fired both AK and M16 and i must say i love the M16, its so deadly accurate, and the ones ive used jammed up once or twice but they were never "unreliable". I think out of all the times ive fired an M16 its jammed on me a total of 5 times.

Wow that is a huge ratio. Its like 25 Iraqis killed for every American Soldier killed.

Not to sound like an ass or anything but good. Thats the way you win wars. The more of them that die and the less of us the better. The war may or may not be stupid, thats up to the individual to decide but now that there is one, Id the stats be so lop sided.

In combat conditions that means nothing, sure the m16 might be good if you're in a pristine batlefield with no dirt or dust flying around but how often does that happen? And the fact that the rifle is unreliable at best im sure has cost many soldiers their lives.

I remember reading an article on a convoy hijacking and the soldiers m16 jammed because of the sand and he ended up having to load one round at a time into the breech like a damn bolt action rifle.

My cousin was in the legion for over 10 years and as i said lives for this kind of work, he's ben in combat conditions countless times and has a shitload of experience, if he says the m16 is a piece of shit im inclined to agree, he has first hand combat experience with it in bad conditions, noone else here has.

And when its all said and done do you really think the marines or army or whatever are gonna tell you one minute, this weapon is your life line and then later on tell you its an unreliable piece of shit? Must be a comforting thought going into battle. Reminds me of an article i read a while back about how in ww2 some american tankers were basically given a lecture about how a sherman outmatched a tiger tank. oOo:

I'm just saying reguardless of what you or anyone else has said, i love it and i know alot of other guys who love it. I've used it and i love how accurate and how light it is. I went to Moracco for a month, nothing but dirt, sand and dust storms, and i didnt have one jam,and i must have fired atleast 2,000 rounds.
