It depends on your smoking habit. I think there are two kinds of smokers. Ones that are truly addicted to the nicotine and ones that are addicted to the habit. By that I mean, do you light up every time you get in the car? Every time you drink a cup of coffee? Every time you answer the phone? (I once had a customer that had such a habit of lighting up every time she was on the phone that she would actually have one already burning and light up another one as she picked up the phone). In other words, are you lighting up because your body is craving the nicotime or is it because your head is craving the routine?
If your smoking is more of a ritualistic habit, then increasing the nicotine in order to reduce the number of smokes is not going to work.
Replacing a bad habit with a good one is great idea. Start running. It will reduce your cravings.
