Other minorities don't get assembelies...because they can havre them in their own country.

America basically owes it to blacks as they're part of the foundation of the country (even though it wasn't through the best means). Immigrants shouldn't get their own assemblies because well...we allow em in...but Canada and USa aren't exactly India part 2.

immigrants have been involved in a lot of America's development, our culture is based on the mixture of immigrant cultures...sure, immigrants weren't used as slaves to support the US economy like blacks were, but you can't say that the other immigrants haven't contributed

Pyro what about the asian(chinese or whatever) that helped or did the railroads? also some blacks were immigrants......and why dont they have assemblies for white people?

This country is made almost of immigrants, from the first ppl taht came here; irish, germans, russians....or even the puritans...so why say minorities/immigrants should not have assemblies? When most of us are descendants from immigrants...

stackem...did you see what i wrote about the national black anthem? someone said why call it the national "black" anthem? arent they separating themselves just by saying that?

Black history in the U.S has so much important content, hell, I did two years of it and I'm not even american - I can't believe really that so many of you guys are questioning it.

yes I did, thats why I said BOTH sides need to work on it. Right now I feel blacks are doing more harm than good as far as relations go. They are trying to divide more than come together. Alot of good has been done in past years, Id hate to see it go for nothihng
