I didn't actually take a loan out to buy it, my dad got it with his credit card and I pay him back.

And pay it off over a long period of time? That isn't the smartest way to start to build credit. Make small purchases and pay it off every month - not a $1000+ guitar.

if you love it so much and you like playing it and wanted it all this time, why would you feel bad?

I wouldnt get something if it made me feel like shit afterwards for buying it.

Its only because pyro feels a guitar is a waste, he would recommend a platinum, diamond-encrusted microphone to do some of his freestylin' hardcore canadian rap that he has going on.

Actually carrying a large dept on a credit card isnt bad for your credit at all. It shows that you can make large purchases and pay them off in installments. Many places want a steady payment record more than "i bought a pack of gum with my card, then paid it off". Availible dept and incuring and digging out of it are actually things considered "good" by credit compaines. Basically it shows you are responsible, and can manage your funds to pay things off.

I did the small purchase, pay off thing, and was still told i didnt have any credit. Then i made a large purchase with my card and starting making regular payments. Car financing was a breeze with a damn fine interest rate for a first time buyer.
