Dunno why ms are even getting into the mp3 market, to say theyre a bit late to the party is an understatement. Id say its gonna be pretty hard if not impossible to shake apples hold on the market.

Apples stake as the MP3 Giant is already at stake. Sales are down, and their revamped line added larger size and longer battery life. Great and all, but they arent making low-budget alternatives that arent shit (SHUFFLE). So at this point, anyone who WANTED an iPod - likely has it. They havent offered anything for current users to upgrade with.
This isnt to say MS is going to knock APPLE off, because quite honestly that player looks like shit. As soon as I sell my iPod - Im going to see about getting a GIGABEAT.

The Nano is flash-based - therefore faster, and longer battery lasting - and has a smaller form-factor.

i think it will be better than the ipod because microsoft will probably somehow make it work with all of its products, would be pretty sweet to be able to plug it into my 360 or something.
