nope i dont...

can someone tell me how i would go about figuring out which dvd rom drive is installed on my pc? i know it's made by toshiba but it didnt come with any documentation or anything like that so im stuck digging through the device's properties and finding nothing. Is there another way so that i can update my firmware for the drive? The installed drivers are from 2001..

Good advice.

Also, try going to the website of the company who manufactured the drive and see if there are any firmware/driver updates there. You can also try contacting them with the problem, or just exchanging it for a replacement if it's under warrenty.

In 98% of the cases the phallus will turn purple before the computer.

My Computer>Right click>Property>Hardware>Device Manager>DVD/CD-Rom devices...from there it should tell you what kind of drive you have. It should, anyway.
