There was a lot of "WTF" in this series. A-Rod as usual couldn't get his bat off his shoulders and would barely make an effort for a play. Kenny Rogers coming out of nowhere, from having the worst record against the Yanks, to to just beating them. Jeter was the only one who was hot this post season. Damon was good too. Matsui was starting to pick it up, but couldn't get it going.
Next season the Yanks just need to focus on pitching really. Got the offense and a stable and steady defense, just need to get really good pitchers. The Yankees have some of the best scouts in the league. I personally hope A-Rod trades out because that'll free up a good amount of money for finding better pitchers.

Torree was a great coach, I dont hope people see this season or the last season as a reflection of the manager he was in the 90's

Yeah butters, it's always, ALWAYS the pitching. You can have the best lineup in the league, but if you have the type of pitching NYY has (which is a rotation that is very inconsistent and has some huge gaps in it) then you're never going to be one of the best. You can't get away with that in the post season.
Look at the Texas Rangers (my team, yes I know I should slit my cock now). They have a great lineup, with 3-5 young great ballplayers that can hit and get enough runs per game to be a great team. Problem is, their pitching is incredibly young and, while showing some potential, just doesn't have that experience to be a great or even a good rotation.

Yanks had a great team when they had Wells,Petite and Clemens pitching. Like I was saying though, Yanks have some REALLY good scouts and their main focus this off season should be finding some good, young pitchers. Probally end up finding em in the ass corner of the world.

Well Torre makes decisions on who they should go after. And going after old hasbeen pitches needs to be over for the yankees. The reason they have Randy Johnson and all those old guys is because no one fucking wants them because they suck now.
