That was false hope.

Well I'll just take it as your predictions suck, plus I don't remember you saying anywhere that the Cardinals would win the WS this year.

Well I made the prediction that the NL would win the Wordl Series after I knew Detriot made it to the WS.

Wow, to lose a world series on errors alone against a team coming in with the worst regular season out of all the post season teams.

That was just hope, since your beloved Yankees were whooped by them in the first round.

That's Detriot for ya.

God damn...I knew the Red Wings have been choking lately...but the Tigers too...Detriot can't catch a break anymore.

I love how it's trendy now to hate the Yankees.

Yes Detroit beat them, but what team had 119 loses a few seasons ago? When was the last time Detroit was in the playoffs....1987? What team just lose the world series on errors and had a pitcher who went from zero to hero in the post season due to "dirt"?

And I'm a Blue Jays fan...

...I'm guilty by association towards the Yankees...

they're my dads favourite team and I grew up knowing everything bout them and the blue jays...and I grew up with them through the mattingly years...you know BEFORE they started winning everything.

The hit man poster of mattingly will be on my room wall forever.

lol I never instigated about your devotion to the team.

PS Butters - I'd rather cheer for a team who's come up from such low ground and who is truly a team with every man contributing (even if they lost)...than a "team" who's only together because they have payroll needs of over 200 million dollars. That's no team, that's a wasted lump of money.

Okay let's say your George Steinbrenner. Now say you're building a team and for some reason you actually want to win. Are you going to buy a bunch of shitty players, or will you buy players who are good at the game? Yeah that's what I fucking thought.

The truth is that it's trendy to hate the Yankees now. In the words of black people "Don't hate the player, hate the game."
