From what I gather, her door was knocked down and she grabs a firearm automatically throwing lead thinking it was criminals?

I wonder if her pistol was already trained on the door after hearing " POLICE " or maybe someone dicking around out front. What 93 year old woman's reaction time is fast enough where she can go grab a handgun and start firing at Police Officers coming in the door AFTER it was broken down? Maybe she keeps a handgun by the candy dish at all times.

So they were probably dressed in normal clothes then? Hell if i had a gun and saw someone knock down my door in normal clothes i'd be sure as hell shooting at them. Shes what 93? I know many 93 year olds that are practically deaf.

She was 92, that is pretty fucking old. It was a misunderstanding, I'm sure.

EDIT: I read the cnn article, that is pretty stupid of that reverend claiming police brutality. It was obviously a mistake.

I wasn't going to say anything because I sort of agree with you about the stupidity of that one guy claiming brutality...but then when you said that shit above I see that you're not being as objective as you could. You don't need to say shit like that.
Its pretty fucked up to go ahead and say that because she is black and had a gun that she is a criminal or her relatives are criminals, as if there is no chance the police could have made a mistake.

Doesn't excuse her from shooting them of course, but she is dead now so thats a pretty fair trade off for a huge mistake like shooting three people.

my intent was never to say she was black therefore a gangbanger and a criminal that deserved to die. that being said, cops just don't kick in doors, they have to have reasonable proof/belief that something has been going down it IS likely that someone could have been using her home to front some minor drug shit all without her knowing. It could have also been just a huge mistake and the wrong house maybe 923 instead of 932.

And I used pookie and rayray as someone talking about hicks would say Cletus and Jethro were probably fucking their sisters while watching nascar and making homemade moonshine in their trailer..
