didn't they recommend a 450w for the 1900xt series? i think it's pretty good you got it to run on a 350w.

Usually sell it off or have a spare pc made out of it. My new ati card arrived today and so did a cooler i ordered a while back for my x1900.

Unfortunately its too bulky to fit in my shuttle, prolly end up selling it of eventually.

Yeah the shuittle psu's are very efficient, a 400 watt shuttle psu is more like a 600 watt desktop psu according to some people. Now ive to order up one of those tomorrow and hope it supplies enough power.

Thats really why i got the shuttle, had a 3.2p4 @ 4ghz on watercooling, room was boiling, had crossfireed x1900's with a watercooled opteron 165, room was boiling. Now ive got the shuttle ive an inadequate powersupply to do the job, annoy:
Just hope this 400 watt is upto it as its supposed to be designed for multi gpu configs.

Yeah, i have a 430w psu and my room gets smoking hot. on my next build i'm probably looking at a 750w. ed: want to put in some leeway, as my 430 isn't really enough for me to upgrade to a x1950pro agp at the moment. I think they recommend a 450w for that as well.

Friend of mine bought this pc
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu ... 81&subcat=
The case might look a bit "cheap" but it has some amazing cooling in it, bigass 200mm fan at the top of the case near the back, few large intakes and a large exhaust. You can put your hand on the grill of the fan and its really cold feling. Seems to do the job pretty well.

That's something i hadn't considered. With th psu on the bottom, you're right, there's no place to hide the wires coming out of the psu. when it's on the top of the case, you can't see them. I suppose you could get them to run in one nice tight strand, and hide excess behind drive bays if there's room. Of if there's room between the motherboard tray and the back panel, could drill a hole and run them under the motherboard.

Is a Radeon X800 still considered 1337-hardware?
