I watched the tribute show to Benoit tonight on RAW. In the middle of the show, they asked William Regal to make a tribute to his friend. He basically said that he was going to originally talk about Benoit the family man/good friend, but then he said that he wouldn't any more. Instead, Regal just stated that Benoit was a great wrestler, nothing more.
I guess the worst did happen, which doesn't make sense because everyone before Regal talked about how much he cared about his family.

[quote:1850e]FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. - WWE wrestler Chris Benoit, his wife, and son were found dead Monday and police said they were investigating the deaths as a murder-suicide.
Detective Bo Turner told television station WAGA that the case was being treated as a murder-suicide, but said that couldn't be confirmed until evidence was examined by a crime lab.
The station said that investigators believe the 40-year-old Benoit killed his wife, Nancy, and 7-year-old son, Daniel, over the weekend, then himself on Monday. A neighbor called police, and the bodies were found in three rooms.[/quote:1850e]

That is really terrible. Imagine how his 2 other kids in Canada are going to have to live with this tragedy.

The problem with the murder-suicide theory is that it doesn't follow what his friends say about him. Yeah, on TV, he played that quiet, maniacal wrestler who showed no emotion in the ring. But outside of it, whether it be locker-room interaction or talking with fans, people said that he was genuinely a good guy and loved the business and defended his friends.
Even when he won the belt, he started crying and allowed his kids to come into the ring with him, which seems like the total opposite of what these reports say and seem identical to what everyone who knew him paints him as.

[quote:6faf3]There were no signs of gunshot wounds or stabbing, according to Pope. Authorities are not ruling out other causes, such as poisoning, suffocation or strangulation. Pope told ABC News that his department is looking at this situation as a "possible double murder, suicide."
Pope said "the instruments of death were located on scene," but he would not specify what those instruments are or where in the house the bodies were found. Pope added the department is "not actively searching for any suspects outside of the house."[/quote:6faf3]

If it was a double murder-suicide, could it have been the wife who did the murders? Perhaps she lured him back home, and then killed him, his child, and then herself?

Kurt Angle: dunno, I think he just retired because of injuries and personal problems. People actually thought Angle was getting close to suicide because of all his personal problems (wife divorced him, all his injuries, painkiller use, etc)
Brock Lesnar: He quit wrestling to try out for the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL. He made the team, but was cut in mini-camp. I think he went to wrestle in Japan. Or he could be jacking off into some shrubbery as we speak. idk.
RVD: dunno. I think he got in trouble for drugs.
The Rock: Easy enough, he left wrestling to make movies. He's never coming back to wrestling. He left WWE years ago.
Big Show: dunno. He's probably got health problems
Goldberg: I think he quit WWE after a year. I think he was going to wrestle in Japan. He's probably jacking off into the shrubbery with Brock.
