last summer i broke my arm on the may long weekend in edmonton. They set it, said it was fine and sent me home. 4 weeks later in calgary i go to get my cast changed and they xray it and decide that they didnt set it properly in edmonton so I have to stay overnight and get surgery. They put pins in it, and I have a cast on for another 9 weeks. That is my whole summer, i got the cast off a week before school started.[/quote:6c3ce]

You guys both got off light compared to my buddy. He broke his arm in a motorcycle accident and broke his arm in 6 places in the four inches by his elbow. Totally twisted the elbow joint up to. He has a matching pair of 11" scars on one arm, top and bottom and will never regain full use of it (maybe 80% now).

Sigh...he cannot sue. By accepting workers comp you relieve the employer of having the chance of getting sued. That is what workers comp is for.

You guys need to do research before you speak, because a lot of what you say seems to be wrong.

well i just got back and i had to make a choise when i was down there
get some skin taken from somewhere from my body or let it heel on its own

1.)if i was to get the piece of skin taken from my body, then the scar would be the size of what the grind wheel took off. (like the scar from stitches and all that other shit)

2.)if i let it heel on its own, the scar would only be about half the size of what the grind wheel took off. (like just where the nail would be and a bit of the tip of the finger, but the rest of the finger would look normal)

i went for #2 freak:

when the lady comes over to wrap my finger i will pull out the 4megapixel digicam, and take some pic's biggrin:

Jibber you made a wise decision. Why would you want to have surgery and all this other painful crap when it can heal on its own?
