There are actually small islands on the coast that make up the state, bridges connect them. Rhode is not spelled r-o-a-d, so you can figure that one out. You want to talk about a crappy state? Then start with Delaware.

Ok ,

1st. Why do we park on a driveway and drive on a parkway?

Driveway- 1871-A private road giving access from public way to a building or abutting grounds.
Parkway -1887-A broad landscaped throughfare.

You can see both words pre date automobiles. To "park" was not a term that would describe where you would leave your horses or means of transportation in the late 1800s.

2nd.Hamburger:
The hamburger, or "Hamburg steak", as it was once called, gets its name from the city of Hamburg in Germany. At first, the name meant only "ground beef". By the 1930's in the U.S.A., hamburger was also a word for the sandwich. Remember that the hamburger was not named after ham.

3rd.Rhode Island:
Historically the state was named after the Indian word for the area " Roode Eylandt" which means Red Island. There is also a rumor it was named for the Greek Island of Rhodes because of the shape.

4th. Sex:

I have 2 kids. lol.

5th. GOD:

Im buddist.

ok, the parkway/driveway thing was cool... but what i dont get is that the point of golf is to shoot below par, but to do something poorly is termed sub-par?? shouldn't sub-par therefore equal good??

you know what's worse than losing to west virginia?
living in west virginia
Actually living in west virginia is not that bad, low crime rate, good schools, and very scenic in the fall. You go to the southern part of wv and you'll find the classic hick with the accent and the usual your sister is also your cousin.
you should go to the capital and repaint the roof of what i assume is your capitol building... that thing is hideous... but good to hear its only the south that is stereotypical west va. and congrats on your win over us... no matter how much it should have never happened annoy:[/quote:825e9] The game was originally supposed to be blown out b/c that play they scored on that guy was obviously down but the ref's didn't call em down. So all and all the score should've been 28-0 Wv[/quote:825e9]
whatever you say man, whatever you say.

Its not the world Bwolf , Its just the American version of the English Language.

You see English is based mostly on Gaelic and Roman words. The American Language is based on those and nearly every other language in the world.

Me: "I didn't laugh at Falco's joke, Jesus!"
Jesus: "Shut up and get on the bus next to Scorcese!"

I think so Falco ,

Those who understand its a Roman torture device tend to explain it as just a symbol of the strugle. Which makes sence....It would seem strange to see a golden noose on peoples necks though.lol.

Which reminds me of the swastica. Its actually an old Christian symbol , like the fish.

Adam says I got beat up by some guy named Karan at North Park High School today.

I left for my univeristy at 10 in the morning and arrived back home 30 minutes ago and haven't been in north Park for like 8 months.

He's an odd fellow.
