Do you know how much insurance is going to be with something like that?

Get something for 10 or 15 grand and save the rest. You don't need a new car, and the money will come in handy later in life.

I got an idea, lets buy a crappy made SUV, with a small engine and no towing capacity from japan. Because thats what SUVS are made for. Dude if youre gonna pay the extra nsurance on a SUV. get the biggest meanest v8 that can tow anything. Like a tahoe.

The man wants a SUV not a mini van with 4 wheel drive

Wow levi, thought you were knowledgable when i comes to cars. If you did you would know that the Toyota Highlander is probably the most reliable car for us non-car savy people.

Don't waste yourm oney on something so expensive, invest the rest of the cash. If your gonna buy a new car get a Subaru Impreza WRX STi. Get a used one from last year and save the rest of your cash.

It probably is, but not many people would go from wanting a hummer, to wanting a highlander, lol.

I take the comments back about the highlander. But if you want something along the lines of an off road american builty, small blocked bad assed SUV that can climb over a bunch of stuff at the drop of the hat, all while sounding mean and looking good

And as far as reliability, chevy has some tough work/play trucks for example:

We have a 1987 Silverado with 0 problems - 225k miles
We had a 1994 Blazer that had no mechanical problems- 166k+
My friends dad had a work truck 91 z71- Over 500K miles no bs here at all
And I know a guy who had a Silverado with over 200K and no problems

Lev.. that car aint worth it. On a year alone it would probably double its vlue in money invested in gas to fill the fucking thing up.

You're an idiot if you're going to waste all your money on a hummer at such a young age. Get some "fairly cheap" car like a Subaru Legacy (very nice by the way) or a Subaru WRX and invest the rest of the money. My uncle did some investing while he was young and now he has 3 kids that have been through college and all debts are paid, the house is paid off and all the cars have been payed for. He has no fnancial worries. If you invest your money now, you'd probably make a shitload of money once you're 35 or so.

I got to test drive a legacy last week. Wow what a ride. I still want to try out a WRX STi though... 300 + HP + All wheel drive must be one hell of a drive, espcially on soem off road endeavours. Always wanted to try rally racing.

LOL at work the silverado goes in with a full tank, and 100+ miles later it has a fucking quarter tank. But thats towing around 9000+ pounds, its to be expected.

still its 9800 $ and the thing is that it probably takes 20000 Grand + to fuel that thing for a year. Thats insane.
