1. The guy served in Afghanistan, yet doesn't want to serve in Iraq. So we can eliminate the fact that he is not a coward. For one.
2. Those were horrible comparisons to make Mr. Gay Fuck. On one hand you have to people using their morals to let people die, while on this case you have a man using his morals properly to not go and kill people in the interests of brainwashed conservatives.
3. What do you find patriotic ? A man standing up for true American values and morality ? Or a guy who will just go where he is told, do something against his will, then live knowing what he did was wrong. ? This war is not for the good of the nation if you hadn't noticed. It has only torn it apart, gotten thousands killed, and ruined foreign relations. While pissing off thousands of muslims world wide, thus making them now more likely to become radical.
4. I take you telling us to get a life with a bit of disbeleif. For One, I bust my ass off working 10 hours a day, as a night shift manager,(Which I busted my ass off to get) I get home, change, go work out get home sleep, then I do it over again for most of the week. I get one day off, and on that day, I get what little time I have to hang out with some freinds. I work 6 to 7 days a week to pay for college. So you telling me all this bullshit, just demonstrates how much of an arrogant asshole you are. I don't know if it was the underprivileged childhood which makes you think you have the right to tell people the shit you do....., but you should stop, reevaluate yourself and start thinking in a different manner. It sickens the shit out of me. hake:.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when you take the Oath and are sworn in, you serve your country unconditionally.
If you get called, you go. No question. You signed up for it, after all.
If you didn't want to make the commitment, you shoulda got an office job like me. I knew LONG ago that I was too much of a pansy to join the military.
Otherwise, tighten your chinstrap and get going.

[quote="Mr.Buttocks":acd99]These 5,500 are just following the example set by their current Commander in Chief; he didn't want to go to Vietnam, they don't want to go to Iraq. What's the problem here? Is Bush a coward too?[/quote:acd99]
He did serve his country, not everybody went to nam. Man, I don't WANT to go to Iraq, but if I have to then I will.

Correct, when you swear in you make a promise to keep the oorders of the president, and to fight all enimies domestic and foriegn.
The Oath of Enlistment
"I, (Your Name Here), do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

I think his National Guard service is still in question, he signed up for the NG but there's still some talk of him going AWOL during his time there. Even so, if he was so patriotic why didn't he sign up for the "real deal" and get his ass shipped out to Vietnam? If he wanted to go he could have, but he didn't.
PS: Duke, I love you.

Man, there ain't no hard feelings between me and you Mr.B, you are way to cool!
What Bush did not show up for was his flight physical because he did not want to fly anymore. Your right he cold have went if he wanted to, but I think anybody would have opted out if they could have. My problem is not with people not wanting to go, it is with tem running away, that is all.
+1!
