Givin the size of the offender, and the method of attack (multiple blows to the head, which could eaisly be lethal is he was using his full force) it would have been in the policy of Californian police to shoot him, I could only assume that in a more conservative state such as Tennesse it would have been even more in policy to use lethal force.

Regardless, Tasers are considered lethal force now, since more people end up dying from them then from the use of guns. (Only because when they were non-lethal force police would be more willing to use them without as severe consequence if the offended ended up dying)

No reason to kill the guy...it won't gain the cops anything...killing is only done when there is a benefit to the person...just ask bush.

Anyways ya they should of at leats made sure he got hurt more than them...im ok with that if you attack the police...shooting them wouldn't bother me either...criminals deserve it.
