I actually enjoy halo very much. No other fps like it. it also has a good, interesting story.

i fail to see the difference from any other FPS except for maybe graphics. For me, it brings nothing new to the table. At least killzone looks cool , has bots and a coherent and interesting story line.

halo has a coherent and interesting storyline, not to mention a healthy expanded universe-style story.

And it brings plenty new to the table. It adds a new level of tactical combat, being forced to carry only two weapons, melee attacks. I simply love halo. Ive never played killzone and cant judge, but I really love halo.

1.) most games limit your weapons

2.) most FPSs allow for melee combat

oOo:

and due to lack of control, my friends and i can't seem to pull off any real strategy that one could pull off in games like BoA or OFP. Whenever i play it, i feel like i'm playing a mod for quake three.

Ive never played a game that limited the weapons you carry other than halo. Especially to just two weapons. Halo is also the only game Ive played with melee attacks on every weapon.
What lack of control are you talkin about? What do u play halo on? Do you just play multiplay/coop? Did you play for mor than a few minutes?

Killzone is to CS AS Halo is to UT

Just different tastes.

the only good thing about halo is the story line, but they kind of meessed it up in the second one.

I never even bothered finishing the second one, the controls started to bug me more and more and i just stopped playing it loney:

From what i heard the ending was shit anyway, most common description is "it was like running into a brick wall at full speed". eek:

to tell you the truth, i don't even remember what happened at the end.

i played the entire game through once to get the story, and never played it again. maybe i should replay it. i really hate console controls though. can't use them worth shit.

Same here, i tried halo 2 online once and nearly smashed the controller off the wall in frustration, fucking fps games and joypads DO NOT WORK. Maybe with the next gen consoles they'll finally figure out how to release a mouse and keyboard.

its really strange, most of my friends are console gamers and are awesome at fps games on consoles but cannot use a keyboard and mouse for gaming. But I'm the opposite - I cant shoot shit with a console controller but am good with a keyboard and mouse.

Ive got xbox and gamecube but rarely play them, pretty much totally pc for games these days. Switching from the accurate mouse\keyboard combo to a friggin controller is like using a mouse\keyboard with boxing gloves on. annoy:

yup same for me, I always suck at playing with a controller, so always get pwned when playing with my mates on their consoles. Keyboard and mouse are much easier for gaming.

Theres one plus side to the xbox controller, if afriend "pwns" you you can hit him with the controller, drag it back by the cable and repeat till he shuts the hole. Keyboards not quite heavy enough. annoy:
