macs are like a industry standard in the design world, most magazines you will see will have been created on a mac in quark or indesign, it just works the best for the job. Plus macs dont go out of date over night unlike pc hardware.
cant wait to get my hands on the new intel powerbooks.

Just to let you know, when the g4 luanched, the NEAREST competing pc product out at the time was something in the range of p3 500mhz... your comparision is from a different time. PC's have far exceeded that since then. While macs are forced to run daul cpu systems to play catch up. Your comparision.. let me say this again.. IS COMPLETELY outdated. This coming from a mac user. I would take a mac over a pc anyday when it comes ot video editing, but when it comes to anything else......PC > Mac. (and if I HAD THE MONEY I WOULD TAKE daul opterons over the mac g5 solution, being as daul opterons (880's) can run youinto the 6k range cpu's alone......[/quote:d6123]

Probably cause the xbox 360 has powerpc cpu's inside so obviously the development platform is gonna be mac based. Compared to intel and amd cpu's, powerpc cpu's are a joke.

I love my incomplete and run on sentences... My ill use of comma's and semi collins is also quite sexy.

I'd say that makes them qualified to establish which types of computers are better for what. They wouldn't waste the money if it wasn't for a reason.

I was saying that they are better for editing. Beleive me, I like PCs a lot more but I think that macs have some cool stuff to them that are benefits over PCs but PCs can do a lot more for a lot less.
