No, if eight seeded teams make it through, it shows the parity in the West, It means there are a lot of good teams, 1-8.

Carolina vs Edmonton should be a great series. The 'canes have a few ex-Oilers on their roster...making it a bit bittersweet for me. I still really admire the way Doug Weight plays hockey and have always liked Ray Whitney.

That being said, I'd rather see Ryan Smyth hoist the Cup over Doug Weight any day of the week.

I wanted to see Buffalo win but the Canes have a better shot of beating the Oilers. While i'm not going to make any predictions, i'd like to see Carolina take it.
