I still don't get it, how does music make you the way you are. all of you can say you act a certain way because of the music you listen to, like it PHYSICALLY affected the way you act.
I think acting a certain way or dressing a certain way because of the music you listen to is pretty dumb.
I listen to everything pretty much out there just like coleman, fuck I even listen to hardcore gangster rap.
I appreciate music but it doesnt impact the way I act. shit saying it does makes you a perfect example of all the dipshit politicians that say that kids shoot up school because they listen to GWAR and play Doom

i don't think any of us are saying "this music has made me who i am today", but more so it has been some sort of influence or has made an impact in our lives.

Alot of music affects me on a personal level, certain albums connect with my personality, and help me in my every day life... but i am more obsessed with music than your average person, a casual music listener will probably never get the same joy out of music than someone whose life revolves around it.

Music is very personal for me aswell. The music I listen to effects the music I play and also I like to choose songs with lyrics that have deep meaning aswell, morals to live by or some shit.

Rofl, the whole idea behind this thread is ghey, the only guys who (claim to) take music super-personally are emo faggots.
But yeah, Beach Boys, Grateful Dead are the two bands I keep coming back to. I don't live by them, rofl, but they're always going in my head.
