Ill give ya, his newer stuff doesnt have the edge and energy of his older stuff - Kool Aid Man and "Hooked on the O(valtine)" - but it still elicits one of those feel good moods. . .its like popcorn comedy. . .youre probably not going to remember the jokes in the morning, but at the time it was fun. . .

I like Dane Cook, he does what I think stand up comedians should do. He points out shit that happens in everyday life that we might have overlooked or not analyzed clearly and presents it in a funny light.

So what the fuck if he decides that instead of just standing motionless and making us laugh with just jokes that he's going to add a bit of flare and movement to his act. It still makes people fucking laugh and that's all that matters.

I agree, observational humor is often the best type, but the way Cook presents it just doesn't strike me as funny. Look at Eddie Murphy's Raw and Delirious as good examples of observational humor. Some people might not like those two though so meh....
