People don't like the leafs because they are on CBC every weekend, while every other team in Canada is put on the back burner. So most of the time, if you cheer for another Canadian team, you will most likely cheer against the leafs, which is the case here. Was there a saturday night when the leafs didn't play this year? I doubt it. Maybe 1 or 2. Contrast that with the rest of the Canadian teams.

All we hear on TSN is leafs, Sportsnet leafs, CBC leafs etc. I don't fucking care about the leafs. I would rather have the leafs win than Edmonton though, if that's any consolation.

Leafs are most definitely not the red sox of hockey.

I can't fucking wait for Wednesday!!

I won't bash the Leafs, as I have no right to (yay Oilers). I hope Ryan Smyth wins the Cup with NYI so I can feel even more hatred and finally turn to the Dark Side for good.

Western Conference

* (1) Detroit vs (8) Calgary - Could be a good tight series if Calgary can get their shit together. Cgy in 7. (Homer pick)
* (2) Anaheim vs (7) Minnesota - Again, I think this could go either way. Will go the way of which ever team can impose their will. Will it be a defensive battle, or offensive shootout? Min in 7.
* (3) Vancouver vs (6) Dallas - If Turco shows up he can be at least as good as Luongo. Dal in 6.
* (4) Nashville vs (5) San Jose - Nashville is too good. Nas in 6.

Eastern Conference

* (1) Buffalo vs (8) NY Islanders - Buffalo too talented. Buf in 5.
* (2) New Jersey vs (7)Tampa Bay - NJ too good. NJ in 6.
* (3) Atlanta vs (6) NY Rangers - Rangers could give Atl a run. NY in 7.
* (4) Ottawa vs (5) Pittsburgh - Could be the matchup of the first round. Pitt in 7.

Western Conference

* (1) Detroit vs (8) Calgary - Calgary always played Detroit tough. If Kipper stays his consistent self, Flames have a chance...if not, they're history. They gotta win on the road too. Detroit in 7.
* (2) Anaheim vs (7) Minnesota - I think Anaheim is the team to beat in the West. Ducks in 5.
* (3) Vancouver vs (6) Dallas - Dallas is always a juggernaut in the playoffs for some reason. Dallas in 6.
* (4) Nashville vs (5) San Jose - This'll be VERY close, but I'll give the edge to Nashville. Preds in 7.

Eastern Conference

* (1) Buffalo vs (8) NY Islanders - Isles don't have a proven goaltender and the Sabres have Afinogenov back now. Buffalo in 4.
* (2) New Jersey vs (7)Tampa Bay - Tampa has nothing, but they might take one. NJ in 5
* (3) Atlanta vs (6) NY Rangers - Lundqvist is the key. Shanny adds a ton of playoff experience. Will be close though, as Atlanta can be explosive. The third seed is deceiving for Atlanta...they should be toward the bottom. NYR in 6.
* (4) Ottawa vs (5) Pittsburgh - Should be a fast, high scoring affair. I'll go with the Homer vote too and give the edge to Ottawa. Sens in 7.

I meant in terms of not winning in a long ass time. (with the exception that the red sox won two years ago)

Leafs play every saturday

is it my fault that Toronto has more devoted fans than pretty much BOTH of your Alberta teams put together

ya'll hate cuz you're jealous.

BTW leafs > Calgary

I watched the game...in person with bucky and my buddy ryan

calgary and edmonton did NOTHING to us this year...vancouver got a piece though but they are the best from the west...

* (4) Ottawa vs (5) Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh in 4...Senators are the choke artists of the entire league.
