also, from before, I meant to put hat instead of habe, 'Ich hat ein Kamerade' or I HAD a comrade. (it is supposed to be a sad song)

Yes, German and English are both Anglo Saxon. English evolved from German. I find english very limited. For example, there's no word for Blumchen in English.
