Anytime i see those helmets ww2 germany just instantly flies into my mind. biggrin: You actually supposed to wear the helmet with the chinstraps on while in combat? Thought that could end up snapping your neck or jaw if a bullet were to hit it.

If a AK round hit it, it wouldnt matter if you werent wearing it, or were wearing it under your chin, the bullet would go right through it in a CQB situation. Its only kevlar mostly to protect from shrapnel. The new helmet is slightly smaller and is so much fucking lighter. And the new chinstrap is so comfortable. Same with the helmet liner.

Wonder how long before they come up with helmets that are bulletproof but lightweight. Not in our lifetimes im sure.

...uh yes we were. We were issued the woodland digitals and destert digitals in bootcamp. They started the issue of those about 4 years ago. Fastest production and issue of cammies in history. Now the army has some shit pair and the navy has a blue pair. Next month we are getting issued Digital camo packs with an internal frame...should be awesome.

New jersey. Canadian Football League, Calgary Stampeders.

First preseason game was last night. 18-14 Calgary over Saskatchewan. It's been raining here for about the last week, and there have been major flood warnings throughout the province. The field was covered in water. You could see when the players stepped on the turf the water would splash up. I was soaked watching the game. Got a few beers into me and yelled at pretty much every Rider fan I saw. I told one to go jack off to pictures of Nealon Green (Saskatchewan QB). Fun night. I have season tickets with 6 friends, so i'm going to be tailgating all year cooking burgers drinking beer and throwing the football around. It's gonna be awesome. I love CFL.

Oh yeah, I don't really know why i'm posting this, but meh. And yeah, I know theres some woman om my TV. She's talking about drug abuse.

FYI:
Nik Lewis was rookie of the year for the CFL last year. Receiver with 72 receptions, 1045 receiving yards, 8 touchdowns and 385 punt return yards last year in a season when the Stamps were worsst in the league at 4-14.
