Ive heard sapphire video cards are shitty....I dunno maybe I heard wrong

The built by ati cards are made by sapphire, no difference in quality at all.

When you get the gto 2 make sure its the proper gto 2. Sapphire have been shiping some regular gto's in gto 2 boxes for some reason.

The standard gto has a blue pcb and no pci-e power conector on it. The one you want is this one:

i have a sapphire ATI x800 Pro, it works just fine.

Forte: Get a 21" CRT monitor for 1/2 the price of a 19" LCD monitor.
