[quote="A HUNGRY FATMAN":9204b]it is about oil and we were getting oil from iraq with the food for trade program we had with them untill resently when sadam stoped giving us his oil for the food, read a newspaper!

Bush is just useing god as an exuse to go to war it's not new it has happend in history befor and now look at ossma he is using the islamic god alha to go on terorist killing spreas. [/quote:9204b]

The amount of oil allowed by the UN is economically insignificant. It is supposed to be a oil for food trade for humanitarian reasons. How much of that oil money do you think reached the iraqi people? On top of this, iraq has continued to smuggle oil (in direct opposition to the UN sanctions) to russia, syria and whoever else didnt mind the source. They have shown that they have little regard for what the UN says. The US gets none of this oil that you say the war is over. Its not iraq that is causing oil prices to spike, its opec, venezuela, an unusually cold winter and the current state of global affairs. My work buys somewhere in the neighborhood of $100,000,000 worth of fuel a year, and iraq is never mentioned when we research prices.
