[quote:f87cb]Why would I post a dig at the vets? To try to make them see that their arrogant attitude was the reason for the downfall of this site.[/quote:f87cb]
Downfall is totally relative. Properyl admined AND maintained this site will easily return to its glory. As it is noone takes it seriously because the owner dont.
And if u freely go out to try and dig someone - then just be prepared for a response. Of course you can always take the "oh well I did that cause I knew youd respond THAT way"-route, but u deserve what u get.[/quote:f87cb]
Ed, I disagree with you there. I just don't think a fansite for a computer game - one that has dwindling player counts - can stage a "comeback."

I think the MOH fanbase is hardly dwindling. It's numbers have stayed consistent over its almost 2 year span. People still play the game agressively.

Relative again. I don't mind the forum how it is right now.
Plenty of posts, threads and heated discussion.
Every time I log on there are new replies.
Try doing that on any other single fan site and you could wait hours for a reply.
Fuck that.
Plus, who can tell me when this site last went down - Since BS stepped in, that is.
All we need is some mature and objective mods and we're back to the way it used to be a long time ago, except it's a forum for a game that is fast losing appeal across the world. Can't fucking help it if the game's shit, can we?
So, it's evident you don't like it here. Great. You know where the door is.

So, unless you have decided to come back and post as normal and you truly have not just come back to say "Ohh, you're all so bad!" then take the "rude" advice you've been given and "fuck off".
Maturity is not just about being nice all the time. You can be mature and still give someone a hard time, if you have good enough reason to.
Coming here to stir trouble is not mature. You have no reason to do it.
So, please stop it.
Oh, and using generalisations when passing judgement is way worse than being told to fuck off.

Ydiss, I was actually considering you as one of the good vets. After posting my original post, I wanted to change it to say "several vets," but was not able to do so. Sorry for what seems like a generalization. But there really is no denying that there are several members here who seem to go out of their way to be rude to everyone.

Yanno if people would just come out and say who they have beef with and WHY then we might be able to work towards addressing that.
And people have GOT TO REALIZE the ages here start from 12 and go all the way up to 176[/url:79e6c]. This is not an excuse for the profanity laden posts but you guys have got to stop being so definite in your judgements of people and start to look at whos posting what. If anyone here told me they didnt drop the F Bomb as a valid crit, or that they didnt speak before thinking then ill call yas a liar.

If you don't mind how the forum is now, why are you concerned about trying to bring it back to what it used to be?

Fair enough, but ED is someone I've always got along with no matter how confrontational he is. I get along with most of the rest, too despite the same things.
I don't know, I just have a higher tollerance than most people, I guess. But, despite that, I will still stick up for people here if I feel ED, Gerard, Tripper or anyone else is unfair to them.
But, in most cases, it seems the target of their ire is giving as good as they get and the only ones who are upset by it are the onlookers.
Live and let live I say... For example Arkan and myself had a few very drawn out arguments but despite what was said then I would actually consider him a friend here.
Just don't take it personally.
Like I've said time and time again, I don't really agree with some of the things that are said here and a large number of people are out of line but I'll tell them when they are, state my annoyance (possibly have a small flame war) and then it's forgotten.
It is impossible to assume that so many people from such varied backgrounds could all get on well all of the time.
If these forums are in such a bad way why does it still consistently have more posts and active members than just about any other?
Surely that cannot purely be down to the domain?

Because there are no mods.

Edit: Which has nothing to do with the vets. That is BS's decision.

I've never really had a problem with Ed, either. Sure, you might be friends with those that have posted awhile here and may be able to tolerate them, but many can't. Tripper flaming people who simply have a different opinion about something gets old quite fast...
I'm assuming you're talking about MOHAA fansites? Those posts are primarily coming from people who have been here a long time. New people don't stay very long when, after making their first few posts, they're greeted by a barrage of "stfu"s.

Honestly - I've only seen a handful of people shot down, and thats only when they become hostile themselves or just weird people out.
Schlass, GERM, Redneck, Founding_Law k-i-a, etc. These are guys that got flamed to hell and back, and - except for Schlass, thought his banning was bullshit honestly - gave it honestly. Tripper does have a short fuse, and it can be intimidating, but I really cant remember when hes flamed when someone didn't deserve it. And again - I've never seen that behavior outside the OT on anykind of consistent basis.

Different Strokes.
Those who don't like the way things happen here have every right not to post here. They can go and post on the many other forums available.
Whilst your statement that every noob is greeted with a barage of "stfu"s is not accurate, it does go some way to confirm that this site is not really the same as any other MoH site.
As I've said elsewhere, how dull would it be if every single site were the same?
I've tried posting on other forums and not one has held my interest for more than a bout 50 posts. Nor does any forum on this site, anymore, except this one (OT).
That's the way I see it and I can't see any reason why everyone should agree with it. It doesn't bother me, either.

Basically - it all boils down to BS. If he could just get things together or transfer the site so we can become "live" again - then this site would be poppin. I mean how long have we had this damn template for?
