Biggest waste of money is browsing the internet when you could be working.

The majority of my friends smoke. I smoke on the occasion. Who cares ... not me and neither should you. I could care less about supporting big business tobacco companies. Back in the 1700's people smoked tobacco without the big business and they seemed to be a-ok.
On the subject of "Its bad for you" ... no shit. Any one who denies cigarettes kill is a moron. I'm sure that every smoker out there knows that and if they don't; they deserve to die anyways. The benefit of smoking a cigarette outweighs the fact they are losing approx. 10 minutes off their life. Just like everytime you eat unhealthy foods or lazing around ... the benefit of doing what you want to do outweighs the long run effects.

Also, the colonials smoked more hemp than anything if I remember correctly. American colonies greatly produced weed over tobacco.

Just like most things in life; Moderation is the key.
If offered I'd smoke a spliff if I'm in the mood but when it comes to cigs, nope. I smoked them for about 2 years and gradually watched all my smoking friend's health degrade over time. They now all have bad coughs and are far more susceptable to colds and other illnesses, thankfully I quit instantly and never went back. Plus, if you kiss a girl who smokes regularly it tastes like you're licking an ashtray, not the nicest taste in the world...
Its good to see the general opinion here is anti-ciggarettes
