The Zelda games were great because they were some great puzzles. Majoras mask required some serious thought.

in goldeneye, there is some hidden path to walk in aztec so the guns dont go off...very difficult to discover alone

Genesis isn't right in there man.
You're obviously forgetting the best strat gridmap game EVER made.. Shining Force 1 and 2. I heard 3 was awesome as well, never had the system to play that one.

First generations:

Snes > nes > genesis/mega drive > master systems

Next generations:

n64 > ps1 > ps2 > xbox > dreamcast > saturn
