I did that once and the cop absolutely took my head off because I didn't stop immediately. He pulled behind me when there was no shoulder and I knew there was shoulder shortly up ahead, so I waited about 1/4 mile. When he got up to my window he laid into me and said if I had kept going it would've been resisting arrest. What a dick.
|
Dude trust me, that would of been throw out in court if he arrestd you and you could of had a huge law suit and made tons of money. hehe
And here in Fredericksburg, they have a division...set up to catch speeders. Good game again VA
Himmler: Your so awesome, i dont know how the fuck you got to 105, your suppose to shut down the second the other guy starts pulling on you. Thats just so you dont fucking kill yourself or someone else.
|
i wasnt saying that to be cool or anything, just thought id share it as we are talking about speeding. it was at like 3am and there were no other cars anywhere, also it was a lonnnnnng straight road
|
I know you werent saying it to be cool. I was just saying usually no one races to speeds over 70 on the street if they are smart. Its usually whoever starts pulling than you shut down.
Like last night i saw a 300ZX vs a RX7 as i was leaving work, i just happend to catch the start of it from a red light, i dont think they got up to 50 MPH, but the RX7 was pulling hard and they shut down as they realized he was pulling.

Go to court and tell the judge that your sweet IROC couldn't have possibly been clocked over the speed limit since it has radar-evading design. biggrin:

My car is coated in RAM...
Litterally i took old ram chips and glued em on. There got to be atleast 3 terabytes of ram on my car, no radars getting anything off that shit.

funny, I was never pulled off once, until i got my windows dark tinted. I get pullover once a month now, been ticketed once since I got it, They always ask me for papers prooving its %. Just carry the invoice for the job on you and shove it in their face when they ask.

only one person I know of bragged about that. Anyways Ive got up to over 100 on a race before I backed down. I think I hit somewhere around 105 and then the guy passed me at about 115. Knowing I was in a POS honda crx I decided not to risk passing a possible speed trap and slowed down. Of course I only go that fast where it is really easy to spot even a penny on the side of the road from a mile away.

just called the sherif's office
lady said it would be 185-190, which is less than i thought thank god
and if i pay if off early i don't have to go to court, and i have to wait like a week before i can pay it....or something like that
and when i call back, i should ask about getting it taken off my record since it's my first offence....
so hopefully all's well and ends well freak:

the best thing to do is fight it in municipal court. 90% of the time the cop wont show up to despute you're claim. Its cheaper for the departments to simply ignore it than to pay for the short trial. Its a day lost, but money saved and an unblemished record biggrin:

cops actually arent the most underpaid people. Some have pulled in ~$160k this year in boston. They worked a ton of over time during new years, and the world series and dsuper bowl but still thats a shitload. Some yes do get paid squat but still they should be appreciated. Being a Cop is one of my top 5 choices for a career. Im jsut going with the others first.

Cloud, its not only the $180 or w/e you have to worry about, its also how much your insurance company bumps up the price once they find out you got a ticket... Have you been driving for a while, or are you a younger driver?
