it did, you could see it, it doesn't have to cross, just go above any part of the white line. It didn't cross the entire line, but it went above it, and that's a TD

I agree 100%, what a bunch of BS calls. And also Ben did not make it into the endzone when he scored his "td" he never broke the plain.

hell the whole superbowl was unbalanced. The commercials were all freakin pittsburgh (except one that was half hasselback and half steelers), the refs sucked, the fans were there in a 9:1 ratio. gay.

From ESPN Livenation Chat on Friday, Joe Theismann was asked the following:
Jon (Toronto): Having played in both leagues, why do you think that the Grey Cup is consistently a more entertaining game than the Super Bowl?
Joe Theismann: Because the Canadian game is wide open. Unlimited motion, three downs means more throwing, and the size of the field makes it more difficult for defenses even with 12 men on the field. It was a great place to roam and wander.
http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/chatESPN?event_id=10553
This past years grey cup was probably one of the best football games ever played.
And to those wondering why it's called football, it's because the forward pass wasn't introduced long after the game had started and been named. Rarley does a game set the rules from the very beginning and never change them. Games are constantly evolving. In early football the only passing allowed was a lateral. Everything else you had to use your foot to kick the ball, thus the name football.

Obviously its gonna be more "exciting" like he said, Its a totally different game, Offense rules supreme in that entire league. your teams defenses give up between 307-458 yds per game while in the nfl its between 277-297. The worst defense in the nfl would rank 8th in the CFL
other facts
the Canadian Football League uses 20 yard (18 m) end zones NFL Endzone is 10
In Canadian football all offensive backfield players, except the quarterback, may be in motion at the snap -- players in motion may move in any direction as long as they are behind the line of scrimmage at the snap.
everyone can run around forward and back at the same time even
Your play clock is 20 seconds nfl is 40 = more plays
The defensive line can only hold up a receiver within 1 yard (0.9 m) of the scrimmage lines in the CFL, as opposed to 5 yards (4.6 m) in the NFL, allowing for more open plays in the CFL.
receiver is allowed to be free much more
If your kicker kicks the ball out of the endzone(except on kickoffs) he gets a point, there is no touchback
All = more scoring.

The most entertaining NFL game that I've watched was about 5 years ago on Monday night when the Rams were playing in Tampa. Don't remember many details, but just remember Marshall Faulk in his prime and John Lynch smacking each other around. Great game.
As for the CFL, I wouldn't know how to even go about seeing a game. I've seen ping pong, bowling, ice skating, hs football, hs basketball, lacrosse, poker, tractor pull, slam ball, women's basketball, synchronized swimming, rythmic gymnastics, etc., but have never seen a CFL game on TV.

Actually, in the early 90's there were a number of American CFL teams.

Baltimore Stallions actually won a grey cup in 95...over Calgary mad: The only American team to ever win a grey cup.
Last year there werte a number of games carried on US tv:
http://www.cfl.ca/index.php?module=Cont ... y&ceid=404
Comcast and Cox sports were the major carriers.
Not sure about the upcoming season, but i'm sure there will be games televised in the states.
Also, if there are any "Canadian" bars in your area, they would likley carry some of these games. I know when my grandparents used to go to california they would always go to a canadian bar to watch the candian football games with other canadians. Probably the only place you could find these types of places would be California, Arizona and Flordia because those are the main destinations for Candians.

LOL. I remember that now. I live just outside Baltimore. This was pre-Ravens and post-Colts move. The city was starved for football. I think the franchise folded pretty quickly though. Not sure if it was lack of interest or money, or what.
