Very true, our justice system is so retarded. Even if you attempt to force a person out of your home, you can get done for it. If you put barbed wire on your fence surrounding your property, and someone trys to climb over and injures themselves they can sue the homeowner. Even if the property has warning signs.
Over hear we dont have guns, they're pretty much illegal to own. I wouldnt have a clue what to do should someone break into my house, to either a) rob me or b) try to harm me or someone else. If I stabbed him i'd get sent to prison, if i punched him i'd prolly still get a jail sentence.

No, good sir, you are the one who is wrong. If someone breaks into your house with a weapon and attempts to harm you or anyone else in the house, you have a right to defend yourself with necessary force. As long as it can be determined that you were in genuine danger and used appropriate force to stop the person from harming you or your family, you won't get in trouble (except for the few instances of cases with awful judges)

Care to share 1 story from your class?
I know of one where a guy had to do time for shooting a perp who was in his daughters room. Only reason he got in trouble was for using an unlicensed handgun. Had he used a registered gun, he wouldn't have been charged.

Well it doesnt promote robbery, you just cant do much to stop anyone from robbing you! If you call the police its like, reporting a current incident (robber, mad women on the loose etc) "oh we have someone available on saturday - we'll send someone over then to check everythings ok" biggrin:
The UK policeing system is aweful. My mum went loopy 4 months back (some of you probably remember as I made a post about it), we rang the police, it took them an hour to manage to any units out looking for her, even though we told them exactly where they were going. By which time she had crashed her into a roundabout and walked the rest of the way. They actually send a policeman to my house rather than getting it to go to the location oOo:
Aparently they had NO units in the area, the nearest police vehicles was in skem which is about 15 miles away. Yet my home town, and several other towns circulating the area are closer than skem and has police stations in it,
Yet when I go out at night, i'm almost guarenteed to see like 3 police vehicles.

If someone's in your house uninvited they're up to no good, so imagine the worst and act accordingly. If anyone ever breaks into my house they're going to be welcomed with a hammer or baseball bat across the skull, or a knife in the earhole. I can't abide thieves; death to them all!

Trespassing is absolutely unacceptable... Unless the assailant is under thirteen years of age, and is just passing through to piss in your sink and smoke a pack of cigarettes whilst spooging across your coffee table to XXX Pay-Per-View. eek:
