the first gta was a terrible play IMO, the cars handling was very fucked and even at the most wide zoom, it was very difficult to drive, plus i believe it didnt even support a gamepad... i guess those early gta's dont really compare well to the new 3D ones, totally different game play. i loved the flamethrower in gta2, the little guys would run around screaming biggrin:

the music of gta has always been good, but i loved gta 1's soundtrack as it was much more original where as the later have been commercial alot more so.
