Ugh, Okay. I was just saying that guitar would be quickly not his baby if he had gotten a better one, and if he's serious about guitar, which the picture made him look, he'd want a new better one. W/e, extended this argument long past where it should be.

How much money you have shouldnt matter, its how much you enjoy playing. Just because your parents can afford to buy some kid a 2 grand setup doesnt mean hes any more worthy than the kid who has to settle for a used guitar.

im with proteus on this one even though i dont know jack shit about guitars. but hes making it seem like whatever kind of guitar that is, its like comparing a old civic to a brand new porsche. if you had both, im sure you would call the porsche your baby and not the civic.

I find that way of thinking quite retarded... As i know most guitarists cherish their first guitar, even if it isnt the best thing in the world. That's the thing about guitar, you can make an old used guitar sound great if you know how to play. And a $2000 guitar can sound like shit if you have no love for the music or no rythmn. Same goes with a car, a civic can smoke a ferrari if the person in the ferrari has no idea what theyre doing.
