Yep, I know, but thanks a lot anyway :-), it's just that some people were already waiting for the first Delator release, and it was not as tested as I planned. I'm really busy nowadays, but I plan to release soon a new executable with some minor fixes (like the uppercase, spaces, and err 126 on win98), then I will start working on version 2.0, that will include a lot of new features, including improved cheat detection (whitewalls, no fog. some wallhacks...) and a new 'restricted mode', wich will only allow standard skins (bteamfox). Well, that's my intention, I'm not sure if I'll be able to do that biggrin:
AKA_Demon, I really believe that it's up to the admin to decide if some skin is allowed or not on his server. According to your opinion, any cheat would be ok (wallhacks, no fog, no bushes... they don't improve your aim). Not trying to flame you, it's just that I don't share your point.
Regards

You guys that dont think using these skins are a cheat WAKE UP!!!!
If you check out the cheat sites the latest in skins is one that can be seen THRU WALLS. No more need for wallhacks now.
Yocho: I think the idea of looking for a list of acceptable skins (stock skins) and then kicking might be a better way to go with the constant creation of new cheatin skins. The list would be smaller and you can add the ones that your clan is using.

OK, stand in the house at the end of the street on hunt, and when I snipe you from the other end, say that it's fair. It's a advantage over other players, to be able to see them from a distance when others can't. End of story.[/quote:6d627]
I find absolutely nothing wrong it. It's just like an government coming up with technology. There are no rules of war.
Skins are available to anyone that wants them. If you think it's cheating, then outlaw it on your server with this prog.

The thing you're missing is that this game is portraying a battle in which they didn't have any sort of technology to help find the enemy other than aircraft and sonar in the ocean. So to say that a skin or anything else that helps you find the enemy is an advantage by technology is just condoning cheats with a poor excuse.
And Plague is right, there are rules. It's known as the Geneva Convention. That's why there were the Nuremburg (sp?) trials. Someone had to atone for all of the crap that occured leading up to and during WW2.
So, what I suggest to you if you think cheating is just getting an advantage by technology and that it's ok - go play another game where technology is advanced in the premise and try to change the rules there. The MOH community doesn't need jackasses like you changing the rules of this game.

There were in WWII like Germany wasnt allowed to use their gas. Youd also discover that if you get to the end of Moh.

Here's a concept... What if you let ALL players use whatever skin they want, custom or stock. Then everyone is on equal footing and you dont have to worry about the anti cheat programs that dont work. Someone yells, "Cheater! you are using a bright skin!". The answer is "Well, Duh!" End of arguement. Actually, itsb better than that, no one ever crys. You want realistic, you say? Whatever, its a game, and realistic comes second to game play. Go play operation flashpoint if you want realistic.
So maybe we should have admins that police the servers. Well, I have found that admins dont police all participants equally. That means that the playing field isnt level. Still not as good a solution as letting all skins play. The no-fog, no-sunglare, no-recoil, transparent doors and wallhacks are all unfair, but a good player can still beat a mediocre player that uses them. Those cheats are where the real danger is. But thats not really the point of this thread.
I mostly play on a server that assumes players use skins. You can tell when someone is using them. Its pretty obvious. That server has some of the best, most even game play I have ever had on MOH. Many of the "regulated" servers are garbage, due to the inconsistent enforcement. Like I said, its pretty obvious.
I have said it before, but I will say it again, I WILL ABIDE BY THE RULES SET FORTH FOR THE SERVER. Check my files if you want, and I know people do. But I expect everyone else to play by the rules as well. And I expect them to be checked as well.
The concept of anti-cheat software is a good one. I just havent seen an admin/anti-cheat package that works yet. We can only hope that spearhead will solve the problem.
