Ah ha ha...intimidated versus offended by or yadda yadda yadda. If someone walks into a school and see a flag that supported a dark part in their peoples history - poopoo on them for being intimidate by the climate and social structure that allows it. They just need to grow up, and not think that just because someone waves a flag that has no real redeeming qualities other than historical merit, that there will be fine Amerikkkans who believe in what that flag represents. I guess, folks who are intimidated should just TRUST their fellow American to seperate past from present and act resposibly.

I really dont want to split hairs over definitions. Its petty and off topic. You are stating book definitions that dont particularly relate to the context I intended. If you really want to get technical, there weren't any communists, they were/are closer to socialist, but thats not really important either, is it? If your going to mark posts for grammar and syntax, maybe you should use a red pen.

Yes, they were communist theorists (living fat in france), but the Soviet SOCIALIST republic was much closer in practice to socialism than communism. Marx' Communist manifesto is one of the most painfully boring pieces of literature I have ever had to read. It seemed to be more about revenge against the bourgeois than equality.

Again I say most of the people that I have met that display the Confertate flag are doing it because the think it puts another race down and nothing to do with heritage

And Arkan, I tell you what my father said to me when we watched protestera burning the American flag on the news durning the Viet Nam War, he said "I don't like what they are doing, but I fought in World War Two so they could have the freedom do that. It's a symbol, nothing more.

The Ameican Flag is a symbol of Freedom, and our freedoms are more important than a symbol .
