yeah that sucks i could see it being useful on ff servers if it was friendly grenades only but wtf now all u have to do is watch your map to figure out where that enemy is, or run out and get shot by him.

np slinky i've been called about 2 dozen different people by the admins cuz i use aol and it puts a bunch of ppl on the same ip or something

Applying bandages was one of the coolest features. I'm mad they took that out. It's just something about peering out a corner, and getting shot with an MP40 in the leg, and going back into cover to bandage up, that was just great. I wish they'd put that back in, and I don't know why they took it out, I loved it.

Believe it or not it was taken out because they thought it was unrealistic for someone to get shot press a button then run about afew seconds later good as new. If they thought that was unrealistic then i gotta love the realism involved in the radar system showing enemy grenades behind corners.... oOo: eek:

So, now that it's retail, could I pick it up at like EB games or something? or do I still need Half-life?

Also,Gerard, Picking up the enemeys weapon is realastic, It happened. It's not like the Nazi's weapons shocked you, if it didn't sense your German Hands on it. oOo:
Right, So, where can I pick up dod retail?

Yes we all know that picking up weapons is realistic. But back before moh was out the dod community used to bitch about how that would interfere with the class system and how in ww2 soldiers were "trained" to home in on weapons sounds. oOo:

For it to be properly realistic they need to only let you have whatever ammo was left in the magazine of the gun. For my way of thinking its pretty stupid to run outa of tommygun ammo to just happen to find an mp-40 with like 6 magazines just sitting there.

nah, i don't mind that coz it means people get killed less from them but if its a crowded area u are still likely to get someone, unless they check the mini map every second....

I still think it's funny when people pick up my already primmed gernades and try and throw it back! It's funny. I just turned off my mini-map. I check it at times to help me find objectives, but that's about it.

ya gotta do it quick. Ya toss it down in front of you then press your use button , either 'E' or whatever you set it too, then throw it. It's a shorter charge and goes off quicker. When you pick up the second time throw it as fast as possible, otherwise it'll blow up with it in hand or if you do throw it after a bit, it'll blow up a foot from your head.

When someone throws a gernade at you, try n pick it up and toss it back at em. It's funny to see a German with a frag gernade kill.
