[quote="Da_Bian":85d19]well, i dunno about that... but
last week, a 12 year old kid jumped off his school's roof after graduating.... [/quote:85d19]
Just wondering if some of the stories I've heard are true, about the student's suicide rate and such.
As for myself, I'm primarily a Sous Chef at an Italian Rest. Every other Sun I bartend during the day, and sometimes actually Wait my own tables. That's always fun, especially when I walk out of the kitchen, chef coat splattered with various red sauces, looking like I just got of surgery, a la MASH, and ask the patrons, "So what can I whack up, I mean whip up for you today?"

Maybe. Considering the pressure those kids are under, even 6 yr olds, something's got to give, right? And yes, it's VERY sad what the poor bastards have to go through to get ahead.

I have 2 MOS's. I went to basic as a Scout and got my 19D, then went to the two week mortar school at Fort Dix, NJ and got my secondary MOS, 11C. 11B is just plain grunt infantry. biggrin:

Ah yes, you are correct. It has been a few years. I shoulda known that though, some of my best friends were in the Mortar Platoon.
Curious that you were able to secure a second MOS. Maybe it's different for No-Go's ( evil: ) or Reserve's. During my time in Active Duty, I'd never heard of or met an individual that held two MOS's simultaneously. You could request going to AIT for a different one, but had to give up your current MOS.

No, you're right, you can't have two at once. But, when I found out my dad was a mortarman when he was in the service, I wanted to be one too. So, I put in a request to change my platoon, but I needed to goto school first, so I did. So now, I have a primary and secondary MOS.
