But don't you see? They can't. Because their small brains, and consequently miniscule attention span, won't let them accept anything that they deem to be 'not what their friends like'. You see, it's typical ball-less behavior. Little shitheads that can't think for themselves, so they find satisfaction in following what the general crowd is doing.
Or they just don't like the game.

CoD is great. Beyond spectacular. It is, without a doubt in my mind, FAR superior to AA, SH and BT.
The SP rawks!! Granted, I've only played the American campaign so far, but the atmosphere of fighting alongside your fellow soldiers is much more fun than the Rambo style of MOH. I usually can't stand SP squad games due to the ridiculous AI. CoD's AI is everything they said it would be: smart and unobtrusive. You don't have to worry at all about your squadmates. They can hold their own and never get in your way. They know what to do and when to do it. The missions, while linear, don't really seem as such. The level design gently nudges you to your objective, as do your squadmates, without flashing big neon signs that say OBJ OVER HERE NUMBNUTS!! Awesome... simply awesome... and I'm only a third through it.
The MP is incredible.
The levels, for the most part, are beautiful. The Ship can suck deez nuts, but the rest are very well done. Some are open and spacious, others are in-your-face chaos. I haven't heard of any landsharking, under the map potzers or of anyone getting to parts of the level you shouldn't be in. Not one of them makes you feel boxed in like Algiers or Southern France. A minefield keeps everyone in the map while at the same time making them seem borderless.
The gameplay types are good as well. The DM and TDM are nothing special really... but how much innovation can you expect from these types of play. Search and destroy is damn cool. One team has to plant one of two bombs on various objectives - AND THEN DEFEND IT. If you plant the bomb and scurry away to wait for the timer you're done for. If the opposing team defuses the bomb they win... regardless of the number of attacking soldiers left alive. Once the bomb is placed it must blow or you lose. This really ups the teamwork factor. Behind Enemy Lines is pure and total anarchy. Approximately a third of the server will spawn as Allies. As an Allie your job is to stay alive for as long as possible. For every 10 seconds you stay alive you get one point with a bonus point for killing an Axis soldier. If an Axis soldier kills you, you become an Axis and they become an Allie. Your job as an Axis is to kill an Allie to become one. No points are awarded on the Axis side. The first player to the set amount of points wins. Yes - ONE player wins and their name is lofted to the top of the score screen for all to see. With a full server it is absolutely nuts as an Allie. Retrieval is great as well. You have two objectives that have to be found, snatched and RETURNED to your starting point - ala capture the flag. If you are killed while carrying the objective it remains where you died for one minute then returns to it's original location. Both objectives have to be retrieved or you lose. Great fun - and teamwork oriented. One carries the objective, the others defend him so he can return to the starting point.
Whew... almost done. Sorry for the long post but I've read too many that slam CoD. I feel the need to explain it as it really is and let y'all decide.
Finally - performance. I don't know about you guys, but BT runs like ass for me. SH runs good, BT runs like shit, CoD runs beautifully. I get 40-50 fps in SH, 10-30 fps in BT and sometimes well over 100 fps in CoD. Normally around 80 or so with the graphics options nearly cranked. I'm running an AMD 1800+, 9700 Pro and 1GB RAM - for comparison. And let me tell you... CoD looks outstanding. It's one of the nicest looking games I've seen in awhile and will probably remain at the top until HL2 (that game is just looking nutz). Not only does it look good, but it's smoother than a babies ass. No hiccups or anything of the sort. For you admins out there it runs incredibly nice on your server. We're running a 40 slot CoD server on the same machine that runs our TS, SH, SH Tournament and BT servers. All run nicely.
So... IMHO... if you haven't bought this game yet do yourself a favor and beg, borrow or steal the funds to get yourself one. You won't be disappointed.

Cool man. You have every right not to like CoD... but IMHO I think you're missing out on something great.
Another thing I forgot - TKing. Check this out: IT NO LONGER EXISTS. I shit you not. If the server admin so desires they can set it up where anyone who tries to TK ends up killing themselves. Someone was being a hole and was trying to TK me. He shoots me and he dies. Any damage a TKer tries to inflict on a teammate is applied to their own health.
Awesome.

hmm...well it is someone adapting to me. VERY little though, lol. I believe with a patch or many this game could work. i.e. they need to put limits or reduce dmg on the PPSh cause that's just wrong. They need to UP the dmg ALOT on bolt action rifles. Also need to do somtin about leaners and jumpers.

i still think its bullocks, no matter what....i look for quality in a game...and if moh had added a few more things in, would still be on top....cod's models are horrible, low poly crap....the skins are not impressive, since they took every skin from actual 'items'....they look watery and blurry....but whatever you can play it all you want...if you like fast pace, unrealistic, dung, this is your bag...im not gonna waste my money on this peice of shit

Ive already posted about the models 3 or 4 times.
[quote:98d16]Models are "sub par" for a reason, theres a shitload of them on screen at once and obviously not everyone has like 3ghz and a radeon 9800 to run it at a decent framerate. Id hardly call them "sub par" anyway, theyre not the most detailed in the world bt they do their job well.
This is the only recent release i can think off where everyones more or less been able to play it without any real framerate bitching.

Thats everything on full settings, with 6x fsaa and anisotropic filtering. Look at the amount of character models hauling ass. If they were as detailed as say pacific assault you would have maybe a dozen of them at most before framerate divebombed. The atmosphere in this game blows away any other game ive played ebacuse of the sheer amount of characters running about.

ya and City Nights was stunning..... was it not......please man. And as to Gerard said above I feel the same way more = better. I would rather have 110 + models on at once compared to 12 it just makes more mayhem and more of a authentic feel. beer: cheers. Go buy the game before you open your mouth.

CoD is good for many resons.
-I get a higher FPS than MoH
-Bigger Maps
-More Maps
-Very well layed out Single Player (play it on hardend to get the full feel)
-Neat perspective of US, British, and Soviets
-Nice sniper system
-No more run and gunning
-Prone
-Headshots actually kill in one hit
-Iron Sights
-Great Netcode (some servers i have a ping of 100+ but don't see much of a diffrence
-Neat MP modes (Behind Enemy Lines, Seek and Destroy ... )
-Record Demos
-sv_pure
-Great sound fx
A few i don't like:
-Nades need more damage
-Few player models
-No PunkBuster
The pros definatly outway the cons. Its just a different game than what your used to, it will probably takes some time before many of you like it.

Good thing is, most of the dislikes could probably be changed quite easily with some mods.

One thing Bane said - REFLECT DAMAGE
Awesome for ff on servers. Stops TKers cold. I gladdly give up this piece of realism to stop tks. You shoot your teammate, you take the damage. Only negative about it is if your teammate steps into your line of fire, you pay.
