Yeah, you're correct about saying that you don't need the church to get married.

Wow. They were narrow-minded peons then and they still are now: not really
surprising but quite a disappointment when you consider the progress we've
made. Comparing these "beliefs" with those of other religions keeping women
under control, you have to wonder if some bullshit wasn't added there too. If
you truly believe everything you've read from these often-modified scriptures,
do us a favor and shoot yourself. So much fucking fighting over something so
inconsequential to everyone but those concerned with the union. Is your God
really that juvenile or is it simply the "wise men" keeping the populace under
control ?

Men created religion, so therefore the concept must be wrong as well.

Some notable ideas/concepts were included, but the bad far outweighs the good.

There is no point in trying to convince you that my beliefs are legit. Narrow minded you are as well. I'm such an idiot for trying to explain things with catholicism backing me up.

Personallty I believe homosexuality is a sin, but so is many things I do. I am no better than any gay man, but what the do is wrong to me. I just don't think gays should get any of the benifits of being married, becasue there is something to be said for a man and a woman in normal relationship. It is like how the military pays more attention to high school graduates, than homeschool kids, or people with a GED. The military rewards you for graduating high school.

I think people should be more concerned with the divorce rate and mass of homeless and abandoned children there are. This whole crap about gay marriages is pathetic. This issue is a damned zit on the ass of issues in our country today.

This is the point: if there's a GENETIC BASIS for same-sex attraction, how can it
be a fucking SIN !? What has God to say about this ?

I agree: there are more pressing matters to deal with... but they don't
have the same mass appeal and entertainment value. mwah:
