Totally agree with that one ^

that'd definately break some laws of economics right there. For that to ever happen, you would have to make bullets very rare as well.
|
Well the price would obviously be controlled by the government if it were to happen, which it wouldnt because it would be VERY easy to still get bullets from the black market. Not to mention our deer and other game populations would skyrocket with no hunters out there, plus bullet manufacturing companies would either go under or a few would get tons of government aid which is no good. Just a stupid idea that could never happen.[/quote:13833]
There's not much to a bullet. I'm sure you'd have a huge black market in no time.

Exactly, like I said. I mean its not even hard to get guns from the blackmarket, bullets would be simple.

Dagnab trespassers! The last time that happened I just used my car and ran over him. The kid was such a slow runner I didn't even have to exceed the speed limit to squash him.
And as for the comment that asked " how can you take away something someone never had?" If you oppress people and have been all of their lives you are taking away their freedom, even though they have never experienced it before. It is possible to take away something you never had.

Oh no. I feel so oppressed I've never been able to own an automatic weapon.
In some countries certain people have the right to beat the living piss out of anyone they please....Are you oppressed because you've never had that right?

Okay...
Since this version of phpBB2 (without modifications) doesn't allow you to split a topic, this is being moved to the Politics forum.
I'll leave a shadow topic in Offtopic, though. Carry on, gentlemen. beer:

Why do we need a freedom to own something that only purpose is to kill?
Knives can kill, but they have other purposes, guns have none other than to kill.

Wow I've owned guns for over 30 years and no gun that i've owned has killed anybody, while I owned it. I have however used them for target shooting and hunting. I think you should take up knitting.

I think the one thing you guys just dont get is that we , as Americans, have the right to keep and bear arms. Yes thats a RIGHT. Why do we have this right? We, as Americans, also have the right to overthrow our govt if it isnt doing as we please. I know this will NEVER happen in my lifetime but if my kids kids need to do so I want them to have the rights that I have. You cant go up against the govt with knives. This is a very important right and we need to protect it at all costs. You may say "that will never happen" I hope you are right but if it does we are ready.

Ghandi overthrew the British Empire in India without guns. The Ukranians got a fair election a couple months ago without guns. There are ways of overthrowing governments without guns.
The right to bear arms was pretty much put in place because of British Imperialism, but I don't think you guys have to worry about that anymore. The right to bear arms, in my opinion, is outdated.
To pressure a government, you need the masses, not weapons.
