well swastikas would make the game illegal to sell in Germany.

also a lot of gay Jack thompson-esque groups would just shit up a storm. i don't blame them for trying to stay PC. doesn't make it any less annoying and lacking in realism.

It's funny how it's perfectly acceptable to call them all Nazi pigs, but put a swastika on their arms and suddenly you've gone too far.

So what's the verdict, are people still playing this game? (Really only interested in MP)

If the demo runs OK on my PC, should the full version be fine too?

Everyones really still just waiting on the dedicated servers app to be released sometime nextweek. From the few playable game sof multi ive had the game can be fun, just needs the spawn massacre bullshit cut out and a few other tdds and ends.

The demo wasn't really a very good performance indicator, in sp some of the later missions like maket garden get pretty gfx intensive, should still run ok though.

I finished the SP last night. I'll play some MP this weekend. Great game. My only complaint is the gas mask dudes and the big tower thing at the end. I would have preferred if the game just stuck to missions based in history. I play WWII shooters because the history interests me. If I wanted to shoot monsters, or some superhuman Nazi, I would play Doom or Wolfenstein or whatever.

That flaktower did exist though, although the real ones were not that large.

I think the EA developers had been watching Beyond Thunderdome too much.

The mg guy was obviously meant to be wearing some kind of body armour, the 42 can also be fired from the hip so its not a massive stretch of the imagination to say that moving slowly while weighed down with armour it might be possible to fire on the move.

True dat. But one bullet to the face should have taken him out. Plus the whole gas mask thing was a little silly. None of the other soldiers were concerned about gas. Maybe these Elite Storm Troopers had been at a kinky bondage orgy when the paratroopers started falling from the skies.

"Hans! Zee Americaners are attacking! What do we do?!"

"No time to change out of zis most excellent fetish wear. We must fight in our leather!"

"Oh Hans, you get me so hot when you take charge. I love it! But you get me so hard it makes me walk funny in these tight pants!"

"I think it eez zee butt plug zat makes you walk funny."

Actually the panzerscreck guys also had them. I think they were used with panzerschreck crews in real life sometimes. Something to do with the rocket blast\smoke and the oxygen around the weapon.

Doesn't matter to me too much. MOH was never about realism. Besides, the mere fact that they got the normal Heer uniforms about as accurate as I've ever seen in a game makes up for it. For the first time, I actually saw division markings on their shoulder tabs, rank insignias on the sleeve, correct riflemen badges on the chest, etc. Even the Waffen SS had correct division sleeve markings on the cuff.
