Im not saying either is a lyrical masterpiece because Hit EM up definally is not.
For its time, The Bridge is Over was major and groundbreaking as far as disses go, destroying an entire borrough of NYC in the process and giving Bronx critival acclaim.
Without the profanity and typical nonsense attributed to Tupacs song.

Calling out the entire borough of queens was childish on BDPs part....KRS has gone back on that diss in a couple of interviews saying he is now embarrased about it....There's nothing at all about that song that is even worth remembering...The beat is terribly lame, typical of KRS/BDP, and the rapping is just boring.
Hit Em Up is a diss gangsta rap style, hence the swearing, and emotion displayed in the delivery and the ruthlessness of Tupacs lyrics....It's far better than that BDP diss.
I can't even believe you think there is no lyrical skills in Hit Em Up...That's hilarious. You obviously know NOTHING about rap.
It also came out in the height of the West vs East Coast conflict, far surpassing anything that the east could come up with. He effectively insulted and made an ass out of everyone that ever tested him. The fact that it was so popular means that it hit on a huge scale. Imagine being Mobb Deep, Puff Daddy or Lil' Kim after that song just dropped. You would just be nothing.
....despite my dislike of Tupac and the popular West Coast hiphop of the time, In my view (and pretty much all hiphop heads Ive talked to about this) Hit Em Up is one helluva track and is simply THE diss song of diss songs. Pyro, you really know little on this issue as demonstrated in your last post.
Thank you and have a shitty day.
