the only time the world would stop and notice canada if they discontinued the lumber industry
Damn, I have been lectured on this one before.

The evils of canadian lumber 101, an american perspective:

Canadian lumber is good for canada, bad for america.

It is good for cold, dry climates, bad for hot, wet climates. It withers in the heat like any canadian does. But seeing as much of the growth is in the hot wet south, thats where the cheap lumber goes.

Why cheap? Because it is subsidised by the canadian government. Canada can sell their lumber in the US for cheaper than the US can produce thier own. Good for canada if you dont mind welfare or socialism, bad for US.

Long story short, US puts tariff in place, canadians upset, say its unfair, but conveniently forget that canada was unfair first.

I am sure that the canadian perspective is different. If anyone would like to correct me, please do.
What I don't understand is whent he Canadians say we are bad for entering the ww2 and ww1 so damn late. I admit we should have entered earlier. BUt do not fucking tell us that we shouldn't go to war with Iraq. You say we came in to late in ww2, but we cannot be the first in Iraq? What the fuck? I say fuck you, you don't want to help us with Iraq, then I don't fucking care too much. We will either go alone, or find another country with th eballs to back us up, get the job done. And make up your minds on when a war should be fought, cause you sure are confusing me.[/quote:ed45a]

We didnt enter becuase it had nothing to do with us until Pearl Harbor. But wait, we still entered on the Western Front. Why? Maybe becuase we arent selfish and are willing to help becuase we can. And maybe becuase evil in another country is humanity's business. If Hitler gasses Jews then its not just Germany's problem.....Its someone's job to stop them. Guess what, Saddam gasses his own people too.

I can see why Canadians think we are going to an avoidable war, but then again, they aren't being threatened... hake:

Can't say as though I agree with that.

Who's to say that terrorists wouldn't plan an attack on Canada? The CN Tower, Parliament Hill, or some other significant Canadian landmark could very well be targets.

Actually USA entered the ETO because mister Hilter declared war on America (the only country Germany declared war on in ww2), and that shame to Canada (Superman) saying that USA didn't have a role until late in the war is a cockmongrel, ever hear of the lend-lease program? America provided the UK and Russia with tanks, planes, vehicles, ships, and guns. Also, Most people didn't know about the holocaust until late '44. Seriously though? world peace? we've been fighting with eachother since we were making fire with two sticks, it's human nature to kill eachother if they are taking a piece of your action. World peace = macro idea.

1) Our War on Terror (they think it's against islam)
2) Our intervention in Israel (on Israel's side)
3) They already attacked the WTC, why didn't they attack the Space Needle in Toronto?

The Space Needle is in Seattle, man.

All freedom-loving nations are threatened by these jerkoffs...not just the U.S.
