There are several factions you can do missions for, each one having their own mini plot line.

If nothing else, the setting is pretty cool.

to me, stalker is one of those games where you wish you could meet face to face with the modeller and tell him he needs to work on certain things.

and i mean a lot of things. first off, i have seen videos and screenshots of this game since it first was announced. the player's foot looks like shit. what are wearing? kleenex boxes on their feet? also the characters look so damn unbelievable. they have a damn tank on this back? wtf?

playease model things after real life equipment and keep your fantasy shit out of good games like this.

anyways, that's what i'd say to the modeller and concept artist of the characters.
the reason i'm so upset is because this is like the perfect game, and it's got the biggest and most common problem. and that's modellers who dont know what size their leg is compared to their foot. they need to take anatomy class or something.

Hawke 12-28-2004 08:12 PM

a fucking foot? cry about it

I think the modellers did a damn good job.

germ 12-28-2004 08:20 PM

yes, maybe i'm one of the guys who just cant stand shitty models. but the foot stands out very much to me. it looks like a fucking spongecake attacked to their leg ok?

how the hell else am i gonna not be distracted by that?

I just watched a few videos and I love the fact that most things aren't scripted and they are random. I also love how you can make enemies and freinds and trade with people. The shadows are amazing also. I definately plan on getting this.

I've been following this too. It has the potential to be really good, but it'll probably end up being a steaming pile of doggy-doo. spank:

When do they actually plan on releasing it?

Im still trying to figure out wtf they were thinking while designing some of these weapons. It looks like an M4, yet the ejection port and forward assist are on the wrong side. The front handgaurds dont exsist, somewhat of a mix of an m203 guard and a m4. The stock and the sights look like complete crap.

Im still predicting this game will flop as i have done every time a thread about it has popped up. A few of the videos i've seen have also left me less than impressed with the AI, those however where some old videos. Not a game i will be buying on the release day, that is for certain.

Just another example... It looks like the team took a note from CS, and BFV, and fucked up all there weapons.

Machette 12-28-2004 09:22 PM

misc go kill some developers if you want it the right way...its for the looks.. oOo:

germ 12-28-2004 09:24 PM

the look of a crappily made weapons model?

if they're going for that, then fine i guess. beer:

Judas 12-28-2004 09:36 PM
